Membership is open to artists and other persons who are 18 years of age or older and reside in Florida, Georgia or Alabama. Annual membership renewals are due January 1^st or before.  Members who pay dues after March 1^st will not be eligible to enter the Members' Exhibition in the fall.  New memberships received after September 1^st will be valid through December 31^st of the following year.

Here are some reasons why it is worth while to join the Tallahassee Watercolor Society.

• The monthly meeting at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Sander's Hall, 1700 N. Meridian Road.  The General Meeting of the TaWS is on the 3^rd Sunday of the month (with some exceptions).  The informational programs at these meetings are chosen to offer the members insights into other artists works, into current technologies that may be used as artistic tools, and also how to prepare paintings for shows and marketing.
  These one hour long meetings  are preceded by  a social to which members bring refreshments and good conversation.

• The monthly Artists' Dialog.  At these gatherings artists provide helpful hints and shared information about your painting.

• The monthly Plein Air Tallahassee (PAT) field trip information.  Members usually meet once a month to paint in loco.  For more information contact Lorraine Clark, who is the organizer of this group, at clarkm32311@comcast.net .

• TaWS Newsletter, Watercolor News, monthly from September to May.

• In the Spring, the Tri-State Juried Water Media Exhibition.

• In the Fall, the Annual Juried Members' Exhibition - Brush Strokes.

• An Annual Workshop with a nationally known instructor.

• Information on other Workshops being offered in the area.

• Information on Call for Entries for Exhibitions in the area.

• Information on Galleries searching for artists.
